          Nicely different. A well exposed contra jour image and well composed.

          If I may suggest, it may benefit from just a hint more shadow detail. I have had a play in photoshop and there is lots of detail available, but it only needs a hint. I can post my results if you wish.

                    It looks good, Colin's edit makes it better, for me there had to be at least a hint of a view of the eye. These sort of shots I find very difficult, so well done

                            Colin, Thanks for the edited upload. What did you do, just lift the shadows? The edge highlights look brighter/whiter? Was this done in photoshop or lightroom?
