    Goldfinches

Whilst on my brown hare quest(in open heathland) did not get much opportunity to see many birds.Apart from a group of Goldfinches, who landed on the gorse bush I was hiding in.

They’re nice Gary, I like the first two best as the yellow on the Goldfinches is nicely matched by the yellow in the gorse. I am getting quite a number of adults and juveniles in the garden but they are either on the lawn or the bird feeders, not as well located a yours.

Number 2 is the best in my opinion as numbers 1 and 3 look a bit soft on my monitor. Number 2 also has that all important catch light.

I agree with the others, No: 2 is my favourite too. The colour of the bird and clear background is excellent.

Brian you are correct images 1 and 3 are soft. I uploaded the un-sharpened versions.

Nice set, I always struggle with these, that dark area around the eyes is hard to get right for me
