    Canada Goose

Just a common or garden Canada Goose, nothing special. But, it was rather useful to build up some experience with my R5, test different settings and concentrate on the eye focus. This shot was taken with my EF 800mm and the EF-R adapter. I wanted to check whether the combo would front focus, back focus, or hit it spot on.

No need to worry! Here is the shot as taken and below a 200% crop, so I am rather pleased with the outcome. The main shot as a JPEG ended up as 24.5mb, which Flickr didn't like, so I reduced the quality to 5mb to make it Flickr friendly.

Nothing wrong with the shot at all. Beginning to look like theR5/R6 are going to be way to go.

        That's what I thought.

A bit scary making the move, but I'm very glad I did. The adapter to still use my EF lenses helped.

The move to an R5 or R6 is something I'll look at next year. Was hoping for some lens bargains as people moved to mirrorless but the adapter has probably stopped that.
