    Nice shot even if cropped. I see they're after rowan berries - I don't have many of them, but the holly berries are waiting.

      Nice shot Tiger. A sure sign that winter is around the corner when they start arriving, although not seen any down this end yet.

                Thanks guys, there were several hundred up in the forest not far from the coast almost every Rowan was covered in them.

                  I have a garden full of Rowan but the only ones I have seen just flew straight over us, inspired me to keep looking, thanks Tiger.

                    A guy who works on an oil rig in the middle of the North Sea said there were a couple of thousand of them having a pit stop on his rig the other day, this predicted cold north wind and a bit of snow will soon bring over the usual suspects, I'm still after a better shot of a Waxwing, keep hoping.

                      Would love to photograph waxwing, when we get them locally always seem to choose top of the highest trees!
