    No way to treat a Lady!









    Taken at the London Wetlands Centre, Barnes yesterday. Female mallards have to endure a lot of abuse. She didn't seem to be any the worse for wear and eventually flew off.

    EOS 7DII with 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS lens.

    Great set Brian, Mallard drakes can be very aggressive towards the females, have seen it happen before

        The drive to mate in mallard is so strong. Sadly it sometimes means the female is drowned.
