    Bullfinch - feeding in comfort

This Bullfinch was taking food from the feeders this morning, and in view of the wet and windy conditions was taking into the hedge to eat

I've seen birds do that on our feeders as well. But for me there is no nearby hedge just a magnolia tree and that's losing its leaves! Nice clear pic Trev.

Like that Trev, plenty of them around but they never come in our garden. The birds on my feeders normally take their food into the bushes to avoid the Sparrowhawk getting them.

Nice photo Trev, considering the horrible weather.

Cannot afford those, they get black sunflower seeds and leave a mess for me to clean up.

You could always shell out black one - very therapeutic of a winters evening in front the fire

Excellent, we get them in the garden but they always seem to prefer taking food up into our taller trees.
