    White Stork

I went to the Knepp Castle estate on Sunday as they have established a rewilding programme, have a good selection of walks and the opportunity to see the white storks that they have re-established.

I couldn't do all the walks I was aiming for because of the amount of water and deep mud but I did get some pics of the storks I thought I'd share

This one was on the top of a tree right beside the path and completely ignored all those walking along it.

There was not a lot of flying, some was very low behind trees so you couldn't get any decent pic, this one was circling at some distance away and was the only other time I saw any in flight. Quality is not that good because of the distance despite the 100-400 zoom

You are naturally very restricted in how close you can get to the nests. This one was taken at 560mm and was the nearest that I could get

            A good set there...

To me storks always seem such an unlikely bird to find in trees...
