Buzzard - a popular species at the moment.

I've been trying to get a close-up of a buzzard since buying my camera in the winter. This one, believe it or not, was disturbed by a Barn Owl before flying past my driver's side window! Talk about a stroke of luck.

Some nice detail in the eye but is it a large crop as you have a lot of chromatic abberation (blue fringe) around the bird which will show up more the bigger the crop. Having said that i would be pleased as a record shot

Yes, it is a large crop and I see what you mean. I'll crop it less I think so thanks for the advice.
