            Thanks,was about 20 feet away and constantly turning it's head round(as they do) so took some quiet patience to get the shot.Don't do much zoo visiting,but this particular visit produced some memorable shots on a quite dull day.

              Lovely detail in the bird and eye, I like the image but wonder if it would be better if the eye way on the centre spot of the square image. I accept that there is a diagonal line between the eye and beak but personally feel that if all of the light plumage to the right of the eye was included this would push the eye to the centre and improve the whole image.

                I cropped the image as I couldn't get any nearer,I wanted the eye in the middle,but lost the beak when I did that.When I was on the Cley reserve I met a guy who told me the golden rule is to "creep not crop",but there was a fence in the way,I couldn't get any nearer,need a bigger lens!!.
