          I can't add anything to the previous comments about the quality.

          About 18' away ... were you hidden and very still? Just curious as when I see the odd Kingfisher when I'm walking then dart off sharpish.

            One of the cleanest beautiful shots I have seen of a Kingfisher. One to be proud of.

                        Stunning!!!! Now there is a shot that can make you loads of money! It also says a lot to us about your 400mm lens.

                        I can easily see that being on the cover of many publications, for instance I can imagine it on a Pro-photo magazine with the heading 'How to take the perfect picture if a bird!
