    Mirror Images.

Taken this morning as I walked the dog. I know its not perfect but there is just something to the first one I like. Sounds daft but I knew I liked it the moment I clicked the shutter. Hope that makes sense.

All hand held, Canon EOS 500d - 55-250mm is lens.

    Exposure 1/4000 sec
    Aperture f/5.6
    Focal Length 250 mm
    ISO Speed 800
    Exposure Bias 0 EV
    White balance - Cloudy

    WDYT?

    Good reflections Di
I like the second in particular but not sure about the last - no eye contact

      Di - I like these!

I usually forget about the reflection and just get a bird and a half! Well done!

#1 for me, as I like the wavy effect in the image, but I agree with Stan on #3. #2 is so clear with no ripples in the water, it does look impressive!

      Thanks for posting. Mike.

Thanks couldn't believe how flat the water was that morning... I spoiled some shots by having a complete reflection of the background in rather than the birds.

Stan on the last one the eye is visible on the reflection - I can see it on the raw file.. maybe its the upload thats lost it. I honestly didn't process alot - I hit the automatic corrects and then sharpened. Maybe different processing will bring the eye out better on the reflection - will have a look

yep num 2 for me - wondering whether would look better in landscape mode given the shape of the bird?

Number 2 for me as well ... this 'backgroundless' look is rather nice.

                    Another vote for #2
A square(ish) crop would look good as well
                    Nice shots though

Had to have a hunt - thought I'd transferred the pictures to my storage disc.. but found them.

A landscape and a square crop. WDYT?
