Second outing with the 7D at Leeds Castle

Went to Leeds Castle with the 7D to put it through its paces with the fast moving birds - very pleased as it seemed to lock on very well.

Leeds Castle isn't the best place to get a picture - it is done in an arena with the audience round the outside - however the birds are there and for 1/2 hour it is solid shoting

        Excellent images Brian, well done.
Which lens did you use with the 7D ?

Considering the weight of the lens I was surprised on how many shots I got. The lens is a bit slower on AF than the 70-300 - but that is not surprising considering how much glass is being moved about.

At the BWC I am thinking of attaching it to the 5DII to get better IQ.

PS at somewhere like Leeds Castle with plenty of people around it makes for good street photography as you are getting potraits from 50m away and they just dont see it.

Hi Brian, what was your setup including focussing method for these shots ?

Thanks for that - open question: Would anyone consider the selectable zone AF in this specific situation ?

I've been using the af expansion too, I meant to try the sone af, but I forgot.
