Eagle Heights - Dartford, Kent - Sat 19th Nov 2011

    Hi

I went to Eagle Heights for the first time Saturday. Mixed results, as many of the birds were inside, and the flying display was more of a walking display (birds quite un-cooperative!), but here's the best 6 shots. Tricky getting some of these... sitting too close to the display, and light really started to fade in the afternoon!

You did good to get the Peregine, but #2 the Bald Eagle portrait is my favourite.

I hadn't made the connection, but as soon as I read that, it's obvious! lol

Yep, I agree on both counts! The Peregrine was so fast... some of my other attempts to get him don't even have a bird in the frame!

#2 is my favourite of the day as well.

            Thanks one and all!

            All the best, Mike.

Thanks Stan & Dan, your comments are much appreciated!

I could certainly have done with a f2.8 instead of my f5.6, but I'm pretty happy with the results, considering. It was getting quite dark in the end, and I had to stop shooting, but I didn't miss too much.

                  All the best, Mike.
