Nice pose and quite sharp Treff but I find the background too distracting. You also have halos around parts of the bird, particularly under the breast usually caused by over sharpening.

Thanks Stan for the comments. Yes over cooked the sharpening somewhat. I think the 5d2 a little on the slow side with the focus..................a bit like the owner.

Although I agree with Stan, I find this an amazing photo! Technically maybe 9/10, but far better than I could have and it's just an amazing animal that you've cuaght in it's natural surroundings.

I heard a definite 'wow' next to me (girlfriend is watching over my shoulder). I like it too. A lot.
