    New cutie in the area.

I've just noticed I originally posted this in the wrong section...my apologies.

Whilst outside today getting some more shots of the Beech tree before it goes, spotted this little cutie on the fence.I think she's(?) new to the area.

Fairly young too I think, but a little sweetie..I don't usually stroke cats that I don't know,so they don't get too used to going up to strangers, but she was talking to me,so I gave her some fuss for a few seconds.I've had cats of my own in the past.

Are the pubs open in your area - it seems legless Nice shot, lovely stare, always better if you can get the complete creature in the frame unless you intend for a portrait shot. I think that would look good cropped square as a portrait.

Looks better on Flickr. I see you were using a 24-105 at 105, so it might have been better to have zoomed out to 75/80 and included all of the cat, as Trev has said.
You could try cropping in to include only it's head and chest, with a square crop.

Thanks chaps,it was just a grab shot,I was close by and took it while I could, not knowing if she'd tolerate me being too close for more than a couple of seconds.

Trev;It was that stare that drew me to get the shot.

I'll try a crop later and if it looks ok to me,I'll post it here.

That's better but I would still have cropped it square. But like I always say, its your shot if you like it, that's all that matters.

                  Very cute cat!

The cropped photo looks better, well done.

Thanks Colin, most of the cats around here are very stand-offish(ie cats doing what cats do)so to be able to stroke her for a few seconds was an opportunity not to be missed.

Thanks, yes she's(I'm assuming it's a female from the delicate bone structure and general sleekness)a proper cutie.
