Honey Bees - Competition Entries

There is a honey bee photography competition coming up soon sponsored by one of the manufacturers. I'd appreciate any feedback as to whether any of these are worth an entry. Thanks for looking.

If its a honey bee competition then the main focus of the shot shoulf be the bee, so although the bees in the second and third are detailed i think they are a bit lost in the frame, so I would say the better bet is the first, although the bee is still a bit small. However judges come in all shapes and sizes so really you can never tell that they are going to like

Thanks for your helpful feedback Stan. I guess I skimped on the explanation - sorry - the winning entries will be used in the company's annual calendar so the judges are looking for images to illustrate bees and beekeeping throughout the year. I have some other images (e.g. shots in the hive, and bees and apple blossom) that I might use, but as I was picking yet more runners yesterday (even the neighbours are pretending to be out when I knock on their door with another bagful) I noticed that the bees were really keen to get to the blossom. So I took a couple of shots. But I'm torn between #1 and #3.
