    A few wee beasties...

    Enjoyed a day at Waterperry Gardens, Oxfordshire a few weeks back. Not a huge place, but very pleasant; well worth a visit... Flower shots to follow, but in the meantime a few little beasties...

    All with an 80D and 100 MkII Macro... (I was re-testing the 80D after having it repaired by Canon - coz I dropped it!!!)

    1. Hairy Shieldbug...

    2. Secluded Snail - hiding in an Iris...

    3. Blue Mason Bee... (I think ???)...

    Hope you enjoy...
    Cheers;
    Lee

        I find great difficulty in getting decent shots when insects are on yellow plants but you have achieved that so well with these ones, like them a lot. Dave

            shield bug is great but the bee is a bit small in the frame, maybe you can crop a bit tighter

                  Thanks Dave... it's Reds I have a problem with in general; yellows are normally AOK! In those particular conditions I generally apply negative EC to ensure the highlights don't blow, but other than that it's as metered...

                    Thanks Stan; yes, I guess I could but I like it as it is... I'm not claiming it as a 'Macro' image; just a 'Nature' shot...
