    Common Darters Mating

Shot at Arne last week, not a plain background but thought it goes quite well with darter colours

    Hi Stan,

Nice and clear as always, it takes a bit of working out what bits belong to which!!!

    Good catch though

        Very nice Stan.
I bow to you skill in taking these as I was at Butterfly World in St Albans last Sunday and tried to shoot some of these little devils and they are just so fast and they settled for just a nano second so that all I got was where they were.
Off to the Hawk Conservancy on Friday with SWMBO so will see how I go with the birds.

Dee and I gave up our membership earlier this year after 4 years as the flying displays seem to have gone downhill of late, so good luck

They were around the pond beside the path just above the large lake and there were others around the pond that you get to through huge flower pot on its side. The weather on Sunday was cool and welcome after being in the butterfly house.

one of the hottest butterfly houses around i think - we only managed to stay in there for about 20 minutes but once outside it seemed just as hot. Once they get the big biodome done it will be a great location
