Great shot Stan, the central position suits it, he definitely looks as if it is him surveying you, not the other way round!!

Im going to be contraversial here Stan - Sorry - great comp etc. but the flash has blown the highlites on the legs and lower body. If its any consolation (dont want to offend) I have taken similar shots and had the exact same problem. Hope we are still friends? Its an almost shot for me.

All feedback is welcome , still friends, just say what you think ......but, yes the legs etc are bright white but having tested it in ACR there are no blinkies to indicate anything blown, the numbers do say its quite close ,but the colour, ie white is quite accurate

Looks good to me Stan. Very unusual angle or at least one I haven't seen that often.

I like it a lot, now how do you communicate your required poses to your models? lol

This is really cool, love it. well done Stan. Only thing for me is the shadows on the leaf in the background. What was your flash settings? Reason is I never or rather seldom use over 1/4 strength, do this to stop shadows. Hope it helps.

                      Well done again

this was an MR-14 ring flash and it was on ETTL with somewhere between -1 and -2 fec - cant remember exactly as i changed it for different shots

                          Stan,

I am one of those that loves to play with setting etc and find that with flash (and I could be totally wrong here) the best results I get is to put the flash onto manual and then set it to 1/4 strength. My camera settings, depending on subject etc, set to manual to with SS 1/250 ISO 800 and then from there I start playing with those two setting. Obviously this depends on the aperture you want AND this is a setting I use mostly for night time photos...important to note. Never used a ring flash so would have to play one day if I ever get my hands on one.
