Nice, I like this as the bird is so 'highlighted'..... Thanks for sharing.

Very nice Stan. Great detail in the bird.

One question though.... what would your "friendly" judge say about the bit of green oof foreground ??? (and I am sure you know what I mean)..
It does catch my eye and sort of competes with the clarity of the Thrush.

What a beauty of the bird, Stan, but I do agree with David about the flash of green now that he pointed it out.
You didn't mention what lens you used to get the 420mm?

                Great shot Stan,

I have just woken to one "singing" in the garden.....lovely sound first thing.

Nicel shot like the way it stands out from its foreground and background.

He would probably notice it any say it's a distraction - either that or the thrush distracts from it -I could probably clone it out but its probably not good enough for a comp anyway - apart from the oof bits i have found that they tend to like the bird to be doing something

                      Heres a couple more

All superb but #1 is tops. The oof green in the foreground is a little distracting but would be easy to clone out.

                              Thanks Elaine and David

and "one finger up to judges"...

we have a print comp tomorrow evening so will see if the judge deserves the above.

I am not holding out too much hope as its not wildlife but Dee has won the cup the past two years so hope she makes it a hat trick
