All the best for the comp Stan and fingers crossed for Dee to make it a hat trick of wins.

      Hope comp goes well too.

Gave up on comps ages ago after a judge took great pains to trash an image I'd taken of the Italian Chapel on Orkney at night.

The 'judge' exlapined that there was no way this was taken at night and that a filter must have been used during daylight hours. He even stood by this view after I'd explained the way the image had been captured.

Of course not all judges would be this blinkered but put me off competing and I still like the image as I have a Cibachrome hung on the wall and look at it most days.

we both bombed out last night - the subject was "old" , no points awarded just winner, second and third and the judge seemed to go for portraits rather than anything else.
