    Ice forest

There was an abundance of ice on the windows of my house this morning, the crystals created beautiful patterns and looked more like frozen fronds then ice.
I've tried to capture the images I could see and share them with you.
Some definitely work better than others and of course it is not helped by photographing through modern double glazing!

All help, observations and comments gratefully received.

Great set Rose, when we get that the background is always wrong, your second shot is the one with the best background allowing you to just concentrate on the patterns.

I have to agree with David. Number two is the standout shot from an interesting set for the very reason he gave. I also think 3 is rather effective - almost like looking over an overgrown hedge...

Those are nice Rose - I can remember the days in my parents house when we had those patterns on the inside of the window!

Thank you everyone for taking the time to look and your kind comments.
some of the pics definitely work better than others, I’m glad I took time to take the photographs as I’ve not had ice on the windows since although the night temp has I think been as low as -4C.
