He visited Aberporth on three occasions that I know of. I was in primary school on his first visit when he opened a new building at the MOD establishment as well as the new secondary school hall in Cardigan. I missed that one; I was in bed with measles. He also visited Cardigan in the eighties after some flooding damaged the town. In 2008 he visited a local farmer who had bought the queen's herd of Ayrshires as well as a Food Centre and then some people from Qinetiq who have been developing drone technology.

Living in Surrey, my partner, Christine and I used to travel up to the Mall every year for Trooping the Colour. This image was taken in 2014. We were also fortunate enough to be invited to one of the Queen's garden parties at Buckingham Palace in 2005. A very memorable occasion. May Prince Philip rest in peace and my condolences to HM The Queen and her family.
