    Dancer...

Technically there is a lot wrong with this: The flare, having been taken in low but constantly variable lighting at f8, 1/60th and ISO 10,000. Oh, and at 1:30am after a long and tiring day at a recent music festival meant I was never able to plan my shots but simply trust to luck and my camera.

Yet the softness, the colour, the contrast between light and shadow, the way her face is illuminated and the overall painterly effect (to me reminiscent of a Robert Lenkiewicz) rank this among my favourites of the 891 images I took that weekend.

    But what do you think?

Considering the conditions it says something that you managed to get any kind of shot.

Yes it's not technically perfect but a good image doesn't have to be perfect - just the right moment captured which I'd say this is.

I can totally see why it is a favourite image. I went wow as soon as I saw it. Well done.
