    Self Portrait

My normal models (the kids) were fast asleep and I wanted to do something as I haven't really used the camera all weekend so got one of my Studio lights out and tried something different. I used the remote shutter to take the photo and hoped for the best. I'm not normally a B/W person but thought it would suit the image just not sure about processing B/W so which do you think is best out of the two images Comment and Critique is more than welcomed.

I like the first one, it has a gritty feel about it.

      Good pic Paul.
As to critique - I was taught that a B & W picure should have absolute blacks and absolute whites in it with graduations in between. The second image fails that criteria, so no 1 for me - it carries a lot of impact

Having stood next to you on many occasions, I would not argue with you, even if you had flowers in your hair. Cracking shot Paul.

Nicely done and as the guys have said definitely the first one it has a much more dramatic look.
