    Playing with Smoke

    I was bored the other night so got my incense sticks out and did a bit of smoke photography.

    I then opened the images in CS6 and inverted the image, then duplicated the layer and used the colour replacement tool to paint a different colour over the smoke. I then changed this layer to overlay mode and reduced the opacity to my taste.

    It is always to try something different and it is much more fun than watching the soaps on TV with the wife!

              Very nicely processed Paul. Clean and classy. I'm not sure that the positioning of your copyright symbol is the best in the first, but that's a minor quibble.

                    Aside from the above, very nice and worth the effort.

                        Hi Paul; very nice, particularly like #1... Smoke isn't something I've tried yet, but since summer seems to have come to a sudden & grinding halt, it well may be on for the coming weeks...
                        Cheers;

                            Paul - I have SMOKE BRUSHES in my brush pre-sets CS6 - Can you tell me how I use them ? How do you add the colour ? Many thanks in anticipation.

                              I didn't use any smoke brushes it was the smoke from an incense stick. I used the colour replacement tool in cs6 to paint over the smoke I'm camping at the moment but will see if I can do some screen shots when I get home on Monday
