Interesting and good to see something quite different Nigel but it just doesn’t do anything for me, sorry.

Sorry but I have to agree with Ian, but no doubt there are many who will appreciate it on the site.

        Thanks both.

Must admit I'm a bit in two minds about ICM myself. I think I needed a rather more dull day to allow a bit more control and a smoother result. I clearly need more practice too...

Yeah I agree…but this must be the most popular and maybe overdone subject…ICM can make some nice abstract and conceptual images but originality is always a challenge.

I like ICM but this isn't the best example of it. Sorry

            Cheers,

                Hey Nigel,

This is really nice, I totally get where you are going with these. I too am working in this space, moving a bit towards art coming from the camera. Not that the pictures we all take are not art, ICM has a bit more of a Monet feel. Maybe we can share some photos and help each other along? Right now I am experimenting with different types of camera movement, seeing what works and what does not appeal to me, also working camera speed too, sometimes I am too fast.

I guess I must be the odd duck, but I do like this image Nigel. I like how the trunk on the far right stands out and is outlined from top to bottom by the dark green lines. The image for me looks as if you are in a bamboo forest that was painted by an artist with a brush, instead of a photographer with a camera.

                  Well done

Thanks both for your comments. This is not a technique I really do but occasionally I'll take a shot at it just to do something different.
