    Wood Nymph - via photoshop

fairy-in-woods_with-moonlight_3a by Paul Ekert, on Flickr

Single flash on a black background then put into photoshop with a background, moonbeams and whatnot added.

    Not bad. But needs something.
    EOS 600d & EOS 6D

    35mm f/2.0, 50mm f/1.8, 85mm f/1.8, Sigma 28-70 2.8, 18-55 kit lens (plus some lenses which I hire)

    various flash guns & modifiers

It's hard to say, as I like it the way it is, but saying that, you could of used a reflector to lighten the left side of her face a bit.

Yes that side of the face does lack detail.

Something to remember for the next shoot on black.

Good point, Tom, and I do think that would have improved it but I also like the way it is - dark and promising in a "follow me" way - great pose, well done, Paul. Good to see something different on the forum.

Thanks Andy, I'll post another one today.

Always good to remember the point Tom is making, no matter what you do in Photoshop, it really makes life easier if the shot is exposed correctly 'in' camera. :)
