my local photographic society tried some light-painting last night here's my first image:

by lighting the inside of the car with a coloured torch you get an ghostly effect:

finally, a little editing - 3 different images with different coloured torch applied to main image, then a colour gradient fill applied to the light-trail
and the Beetle looks a little more "of it's time"
