    Trying some more Product shots

I keep dipping my toes in to product photography, and considering I'm a landscape kinda guy, I actually love the challenge of it. I purposely used JP wine due to the purpose imperfection in the bottle necks, as I wanted to marry that up with the curvature of the wine glass,

the curve of the bottle works well with the glass but I think it needs to be more in focus, either by bringing it nearer to the front or a blend of two shots. Not too keen on the background but not sure what would be a good replacement

I agree with Stan the bottle needs to be in focus and blending 2 images would be the way I would go, also agree on the background, for me its just too busy and keep catching your eyes...but I like the idea, well done

I agree with the others regarding your choice of background Andy. The two highlights on the glass are another little distraction. There's a photographer on another forum who nearly always creates images which feature wine, wine bottles and glasses.

I'll PM you a link to his website you may get some ideas from his work

Agree with the others Andy, nice idea and well executed. But, you need some newer cheese, that lump looks well past it best

Thanks everyone for your feedback.. Its a series of shots where I was trying the bottle in and out of focus. Tried this shoot with a couple of backgrounds, and in my opinion, and the other guy in the studio, they just didn't feel right. The reason I chose this background, and stuck with it, as I feel it goes well with the table cloth, giving it a bit of a rustic feel with the mottled browns and greys. Back to the drawing board I guess..

            Thanks folks
