    Wedding Cake

We went to a wedding on Saturday and I took the 5DMKIII with the New Niffty 50 STM and took this image of the wedding cake.

I can see what you was trying with the composition, but the strong blue does take away from the subject

Sorry Tom but using f1.8 has reduced the DoF too much as I'd have liked to have been able to read the engraving on the cake slice and, despite such a fast lens, using 1/50 (which should have been OK) has meant the central part that was in focus sitll isn't sharp. I don't mind the blue though

        Cheers,
        John

Nice composition...shame about the dof An attractive image that would still be selected for the album
