Water drop setup from camera club

Last night at camera club we tried water drop photography.
It was a good evening with everyone getting some good shots for a first try.

I'll post results in a few days or so when I've had a chance to look at them, but in the mean time here is the basic setup I used...

It was a bit heath-robinson but worked ok, hopefully tonight or tomorrow I'll have time after work to go through the images and post them.
It was good fun though, and showed that simple set ups can work, as long as your expectation is sensible.

Heath Robinson that is exactly as i have set up water drops in the past but using a plastic bag to hold the water, i like the cup idea much more and will have another go

Look forward in seeing your images

Great idea and setup. Must try this next time I set up a water drop. Much more straight forward than the nonsense I set up!

            Thanks for sharing,

The cup worked well with a pin hole in, one thing that could be improved was how the cup was held in place. In the setup shown it had a tendency to swing when topped up meaning you had to wait a bit.
Other than that it worked ok, have posted images in a separate thread.
