They're tall Stan! I love the detached ring around the tendrils

How high is your drop-tank to get those tendrils? I found that by around 3' I was reaching the upper limit of the shutter-delay (or are you using a very shallow catch-tank, which if memory serves will also produce high tendrils?)

the drop tank was about 2" off the top of the retort stand, so the drop was less than 2 ft and my catch tank is a large coffee cup which is about 2.5 " deep. Splash Art settings were delay, between 9 and 10 o'clock, 1st drop size around 3 o'clock, second drop delay and size at 10 o'clock

but that does not guarantee tall tendrils or collisions - these two shots were one after the other but the next shot without touching the settings was half as tall and no collision !!

I was using a xanthan gum mix into water but as i said was not getting a decent result so just changed the top tank to milk, no cream or anything added and left the water in the bottom tank. Normally i would use milk/cream into milk but there seemed to be very little difference so i may well keep to water in the bottom tank next time and save on the milk
