From the 5k Park Run on Saturday

I spent a pleasant hour or so at a local park run on Saturday.

Both of my 7D Mki's in action with my 24-105L and Sigma 70-200 f2.8

Thanks Bill, yes it was even though it was 9am,far too early for me,having worked permanent nights for so many years before I retired.

Nice people at the race, and it tested my skills greatly, all in all most enjoyable.

They look good Roy. Nicely framed and good colours

Some strong images there….but take care that you haven’t got half a person behind, (sliced as in pic 2)even though deliberately out of focus, this can be annoying.
Interested to know which lens did you find most useful?

They were both equally useful,I'd have really struggled with just one camera and having to stop to change lenses, lots of missed shots etc.

The time I spent there(just over an hour) worked well for me on several levels; As you know,it was an exercise in getting used to the dual camera setup, quite easy apart from the weight aspect. Also I wanted to prove to myself that I could do a better job with that subject than the one I did in 2018 at a 10k race,my 'efforts' that day were frankly rubbish.

All in all, mission accomplished as far as I'm concerned..now onwards and upwards to the Pride event..!

Good set, now I'm knackered just from looking at them - the energetic so-and-sos...

Thanks Colin, both lenses(24-105L and Sigma 70-200) served me well on the day. Also using AI Servo and low burst setting of 3fps too.

I'm rapidly learning that fast burst 8fps isn't always needed.

While waiting for the bus to the park,I was chatting to my barber..the shop is next to the stop..he jokingly said" I bet you won't get any where both feet are off the ground at the same time" well,I got quite a few like that, including the one above.
