Christmas stars and Palm trees at night

I was not sure where to post these, so my apologies if they should be somewhere else.

There were some local fireworks over the weekend; it is the usual story of not knowing they were taking place and rushing to grab my camera to head outdoors at the last minute!!
I only had a few seconds to alter a setting so these really are simple grab shots.

Not sharp or clear by any means but the shape and appearance of these two appealed so I thought I would share them with you.

All feedback, comments and help gratefully received.

I like those Rose, I think the descriptions are quite apt. The longer exposure time has worked in your favour giving good trails, the centre is a little overexposed as a result that may be correctable in photoshop but good pics nevertheless.

Those are nice Rose - looks like there was a fair breeze by the trails.

Thank you John for your kind comments. There was a little breeze but I must say the trails are more due to not having time to change my camera settings….

Thank you Ian, Trev, Bill53, Tigerburnie and John for looking and your kind comments.
I am hoping there may be a few more fireworks this week ( no guarantee) so I may get to try again this time with the correct settings!
having said that I do like how these two pics turned out.
