Lovely set Peter. Number three for me - he seems to be doing quite well

Great set, Peter, with no 3 particularly good; at first sight you think he has paused and is looking at you, then you notice the hand and it completely changes the dynamic.

started a topic York, Street Violin

    York, Street Violin

This is not my normal genre of photography, but as the opportunity presented itself it would have been rude not to capture an image of the musician. Even the diners in the restaurant behind him were engaged in the theatre of it all.

I should explain the title, this musician Rupert Engledow describes himself both on Facebook and his website as "Street Violin". He seemed to be doing quite well and interacted with the people passing by.

He was quite willing to turn towards the camera, both myself and my photo-buddy had contributed to his collection, which may or may not have influenced his decision to allow us to make an image or two.

As always your thoughts and comments are welcomed.

#1 playing to the people passing by. I liked this one as the position of his right foot gives to my eyes a sense of movement. Unlike the following two images where he is playing the instrument but his feet are static.

    #2 Playing to the Camera.

#3 I liked this version as the blur to his hand shows that he is playing the violin rather than just a static pose.
