    San Gimignano alley ways

Not sure if this qualifies as streets, maybe little ones. As I was wandering around San Gimignano I began to look closely at the little side streets and alley ways and noticed how each one had it's own story to tell and the interesting ways the light reflected off the stones and arches. Guess I became a bit captivated with them.

Interesting scenes and it looks a lovely place to visit.
I'd want to attend to some of the verticals but the composition and exposures are pretty much spot on.
But oh, how much cleaner those streets are to ours (which would be knee deep in litter )

      Cheers,
      John

A super set....maybe the ones without people are better classified as architectural or travel, but what does classification matter....these are great shots.
I believe the tall towers were built by competing wealthy families in the area, competing to show how well off they were....just a little nugget of info from our tour guide when we we there a few years ago.
No6 is my favourite of the set.

A very good set. The second one, Al Fresco Alley, is a particular standout with the neatly placed umbrellas and the perfect colour palette.

                      Nice one....

Seriously, wow! Another great set Kevin, I love them, especially the ones of the alleyways you were right to be captivated by them. I love the composition of the 3rd one and the 4th one with the house at the end of the alley just has so much feeling in it. I look at it it and it feels like that house has seen some things, it looks wise and welcoming all at the same time (if that makes sense)

Keep this type of photography coming kevin!

NathCarr91 Thank you for the comments. Makes complete sense about the house, I am sure it has some stories to tell too.
