    Military Helicopter?

Some sort of major exercise going on in Scotland this week involving loads of nations (Us, America, Australia & loads more), had this helicopter just skimming the tree tops over us this morning, plus a couple of fixed wings that I missed, all very low. Taken through d/g.

Now I know you are telling fibs Trev, because if it was you, you would have landed, had a cuppa, photographed the Red Squirrels & been off.

Not so many years ago I could have been in it, then 'Fast Roped' down to you for that cuppa

Not so many years ago I could have been in it, then slow roped into my own garden, as I had training in a Wessex on doing just that, as a Fire Service rock rescue member.

That is great -- great machines the old Wessex, good workhorse in my opinion but others will disagree. I went into the Suez (Port Said) landings in 1956 on a Whirlwind - boy was that fun!
