    C17 overhead

We heard a noise overhead and looked out of the window, on another circuit I managed to grab a few of photos from the garden, according to flightradar it was at 1600 feet. It did about 6 circuits in all.

    The C17 is huge.

    Thanks for looking

Good capture Chris, C17 Globemaster's they are massive. They used to be based at RAF Brize Norton. They played a major role in the Afghan conflict and had the unenviable task of repatriating the lads back that were KIA. I had to do many trips to Royal Wootton Bassett for the repatriations of Royal Marines.

Well caught Chris, they do make a noise. Was sitting at Kylereah on Skye when a Chinook showed itself from nowhere, flying very low. Had the camera on the table and managed to grab a shot, but setting were completely wrong for it, sigh....

Glad you were able to take some shots, like them all.
It looks like it is noisy aircraft.

Thanks for the comments, we have recently moved house and often get helicopters, the Chinook is noisy, but less so than a Puma to me. I haven't managed to get a Puma yet, but below in a Chinook
