It just goes to show you never know what you'll see...

At the start of my stroll in a back street,I happened upon this gorgeous McLaren. The owner and friends were more than happy for me to get the shots.

You don’t see many of them about, I hope they moved it before the low flying vultures found it!

It was parked in a back street that has a long line of car repair-type businesses in converted railway arches. There was a yellow Ferrari under a see-through dust cover parked in one of them.

Looking at the owner and his mates,I'm guessing the McLaren was pretty well protected against malign circumstances, low flying vultures included!

          Nice car!

I take it the driver did not let you take it for a drive then

Which was a wise move on his part, given that I can't drive!

Interesting too that it's left hand drive.

This is the street where it was parked. The arches are from the former Great Central Railway.

Very nice car and must have been good to see.

For us mere mortals cost and lack of practicality would be a problem.

Yes,when we turned into that street it stood out a mile,a perfect start to my photo stroll.

I've no idea of the price, and as you say,not too practical. But wouldn't it be nice not to have to care about those things?
