    Double-headed Steam Tour

    LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 Black 5’s No: 44871 and No: 45407 are seen crossing over Blatchford Viaduct near Ivybridge working the 1Z85 09.40 ‘The Great Britain VI’ tour from Newquay to Cardiff on the 21st April 2013.

            Beautifully framed - did you plan the location?
            Just 2 of my favourite locomotives. 44871 was one of the locos which did the last steam train run in 1968 which I was lucky enough to photograph.

              Yes and No!

              I have been to this location a good few times but I usually stay where the crowd of photographers are, a bit higher up in the field.

              The reason I went to this spot was.......because I needed to have a pee

              When I turned around to go back I said to myself that this will make a different shot so I stayed there!
