    Nice photo Trev, well done.

    I think the diesel was on the rear in case the steam loco broke down. The diesel would then go on the front of the steam loco to carry on with the trip.

      Thanks Colin, Got there a bit late best of the positions were taken with other photographers, plus I did not want the diesel in the shot.
