    "The Devonian Express" tour

Today I went up to Powderham near Exeter to photograph the steam tour. This is the first time I have been to this location and I quite like it!

LMS Royal Scot Class 7P 4-6-0 No: 46100 ‘Royal Scot’ and BR Standard Class 7 No: 70000 ‘Britannia’ with D1935 (47805) on the rear is seen passing Powderham working the 1Z46 06:55 Cardiff Central to Plymouth "The Devonian Express" tour on the 12th August 2020.

Nice shot Colin, I grew up with Royal Scots living by the WCML in Cheshire.

As the Forum loves stories about locomotives swapping identities, Royal Scot is not what she seems. In 1933 she swapped name and number with another of the class for a trip to America. They were never swapped back.
            Nerdy information over.......back to photography.
