    Double Headed Steam Locos

    SR ‘West Country’ 4-6-2 No: 34007 ‘Wadebridge’ and SR ‘West Country’ 4-6-2 No: 34092 ‘Wells’ is seen approaching Winchcombe Station on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway during the Cotswold Festival of Steam gala on the 23rd May 2015.

        No real reason for it being double headed. They were both visiting locos and probably done this to get more travel on the service.

          Great setting for a well composed shot, only problem for me is those locos are the ugliest I ever saw in my youth, just my opinion of course.

              Lovely shot Colin. Brings back memories of my trainspotting days. Just had a look at Ian Allan's abc British Railways Locomotives, Combined Volume from 1964, which would have been in pristine condition if I hadn't underlined all the engines I had seen, including 34007 and 34092!
