    Christmas Train

    GWR 7800 Class No: 7820 ‘Dinmore Manor’ with GWR Class 2-6-2T No: 5542 on the rear are seen at the Royal Mile on the South Devon Railway working the 12.35 Buckfastleigh to Totnes Riverside and return ‘The Polar Express’ Christmas service on the 21st November 2021.

    Looks a great spot and so suits the b&w, like the Manor class, but prefer Kings.

              Great pic Colin. looks perfect and evocative of a by-gone era.
              Do you need to any special permits or similar to stand where you were? The nearest heritage train line to me is the Bluebell line and I have always wondered how to go about taking similar shots.

                Where I was standing for this photo is nothing to do with the railway. Anyone can go there but not much room for more the 3 cars.
