Old, older and aged - but generally nautical

I was fortunate enough to sail from Gibraltar back to the UK on a 55 ft Nicholson sailing yacht last year.
Some great sailing but some really rough seas too (Force 9).

These are some shots from last summer - generally of a nautical theme and fairly random.

I am busy sifting through hundreds of images and will select some others later.

    1. Waiting - part of the fishing fleet based at La Coruna in Spain:

    2. Abandoned - old fishing vessels in the French harbour of Camaret - sur - Mer

    3. Rigging - from an old square rigger called Marite - berthed in Jersey

and finally - back in home waters

    4. Bristol Pilot Cutter: circa 1900

What an excellent set of images Paul. They are all very good but IMHO the rigging image is top notch

Well thanks everyone for your very kind comments.

I have to say that the Rigging and Pilot Cutter shots are my two favourite of the set. There is something mystical about old vessels that sets them apart - perhaps it is the simplicity of them and the romance of days gone by when we did not have to rely on "modern" technology as much.

Wood - wind - waves and the going was good.

                      Thanks again
                      Paul
