    MV Hebrides departing Uig

    I took this during a cycling trip around Skye and Harris back in July.
    It is a 1 second exposure using an ND4 filter and grad. Other settings were f22 and ISO 100. I didn't have my tripod so I used the handrail to rest the camera on and attached the tripod mount to angle it downwards but still be able to keep it steady.

    Very effective. Are you going to post any images from your trip?

        Looks very strange in a good kind of way. Typical Scottish July weather are they storm clouds in the distance

              I am impressed - it has a strange "feel" to it, but to get that clarity handheld ... as the youngsters say these days, "Respect!"

                    This almost has the look & feel of a colour-popped image; but I'm sure the seas & skies really were just grey

                    Like the 'motion of the ocean'... as a matter of interest, what focal length & shutter speed did you use?

                    Cheers;

                        It was pretty grey :)

                        I used 12mm (1.6x crop factor body) and 1 second shutter.
