Burnham on Sea Emergency Services Day

A day in August where the RNLI and friends get to thrash around in their kit and have some fun without there needing to be someone in danger. All shot with my 7d and a variety of kit starting with my 400L, then 70-200 f4 with 1.4 tc and finally the 70-200 without the tc. That helicopter is so big and got so close that range was not an issue.

You can just tell they're having a bit of fun...

You can't avoid freezing the rotor with a 400L, you need a shutter speed less than 1/focal length so these are both with the 70-200 + 1.4 tc.

And that's Hinckley Point in the background, where a new Nuclear Power Station is going to be built, assuming the Austrian Government don't get their way.

And a good morning it was too, so much so that we overstayed our parking time and picked up a £25 fine

Thanks for looking everyone. Living where we do there's a lot of this kind of thing that goes on with interesting events every now and then. Though the kite event seems not to have happened yesterday as it was the first wind free day we've had on the beach
