    Swedish Ship Gotheborg

The Swedish Tall Ship Gotheborg has been in Dover all Bank Holiday weekend but typically the only time I got to visit was today when it was raining, that said my daughter visited yesterday and couldn't move with the crowds but due to the rain there was hardly anyone around.

She is a beautiful ship which is based on the Swedish ship Gotheborg which sank at Hunnebaden on the 12th September 1745, this version had her keel laid on the 11th June 1995 and took her maiden voyage in August 2005.

All taken with 5D3 and 24-105 hand held.

The next two images pushed the bounds of the 5D3 as they were shot at ISO12,800

Don't fancy Dover's chances if they let one go from this gun

Rain or no rain they've come out well. I particularly like the texture of the wood in 2 and the colour below decks

      Cheers,

The light has let you down for the first two but composed the shots very well. The interior shots are great with the wood and canons.

What an impressive tall ship! I do like the warm colour in the wood below deck it makes you also realise how little space there was for the sailors.

Ian, you've made the best of the available lighting below decks to create two beautiful images.

Thanks guys, the weather outside was horrible with the rain and dull inside but that was probably a benefit for the interior shots as it reduced the contrast

Good series Ian, as others have mentioned the below decks are the stronger images, all are well captured
