    Dunkirk Little Ship

Took a wander along by the river to the seafront this morning and spotted this beautiful vessel moored up. I took a couple of pics of it as it looked so good then spotted the flag it was flying that I did not recognise. Checked what the flag was on the internet when I got back home and found that the flag was the Dunkirk Jack that is flown by any ship that took part in the Dunkirk evacuation. There is a website for the Dunkirk Little Ships and this ship, Our Lizzie, has its own entry.

The pic is not brilliant as it is not possible to get onto the lower walk way and I hadn't intended to post it anyway but on learning about it I thought others would be interested in seeing it, I've attached a pic of the flag as I'm sure that I'm not the only one who didn't recognise it.

What a fantastic looking craft as most are that fly the Dunkirk Jack - they contributed so much to this countries history during the Second World War. a lovely picture Ian.

A good pic of a great ship, I’ve not had the privilege of seeing any Dunkirk boat and not seen the flag.
Thank you for posting and the interesting information on the boat.

        Rose.
